Position Summary Starting Pay: Based on experience Scheduled - Monday-Thursday Hours - 3pm-1am Position Summary The Maintenance Technician is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, repairing, and improving equipment within a fast-paced, mid-to-large volume distribution or manufacturing facility. This role supports operational efficiency by performing preventative maintenance, diagnosing equipment issues, reading schematics, conducting voltage testing, and repairing conveyor systems and other facility equipment. The ideal candidate is mechanically inclined, safety-focused, and skilled at identifying and resolving equipment failures to minimize downtime.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED preferred, but not required.
  • Working knowledge of mechanical systems, industrial equipment, and maintenance practices.
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and wiring diagrams.
  • Experience performing voltage readings and utilizing electrical diagnostic tools.
  • Knowledge of conveyor systems, preventative maintenance programs, and equipment troubleshooting.
  • Strong problem-solving, troubleshooting, and decision-making skills.
  • Ability to safely use hand tools, power tools, and testing equipment.
  • Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Commitment to workplace safety and quality standards.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in distribution center, warehouse, manufacturing, industrial maintenance, or facilities maintenance environments.
  • Knowledge of mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
  • Experience using Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS).
  • Technical certification, vocational training, or related maintenance experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Perform preventative maintenance on conveyors, machinery, and facility equipment to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
  • Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and conveyor system issues to quickly identify root causes and implement repairs.
  • Read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals.
  • Utilize electrical testing equipment to conduct voltage readings and diagnose electrical system issues.
  • Inspect equipment regularly for signs of wear, damage, or potential failures and recommend corrective actions.
  • Execute repairs on conveyor systems, motors, gearboxes, drives, sensors, and other production equipment.
  • Complete work orders, maintenance logs, and repair documentation accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Assist with spare parts inventory management and identify replacement parts needed for repairs.
  • Support equipment installations, upgrades, and continuous improvement projects.
  • Ensure compliance with all company safety policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
  • Respond to equipment breakdowns and emergency maintenance situations to minimize operational disruptions.
  • Share technical knowledge and provide guidance to less experienced team members as needed.
