Looking for a challenging yet rewarding career with a company that produces the world’s most recognizable products? Join us in Lancaster, PA as a Maintenance Mechanic on 2nd shift (3pm – 11pm). As a Maintenance Mechanic, you’ll help bring cereal to customers by ensuring our production equipment is operating efficiently. This includes ensuring optimal performance, safety, and reliability of machinery used in production and processing operations. Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor and working closely with other maintenance personnel, production operators, and engineering staff to ensure equipment uptime and operational efficiency.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
Technical certification/associate degree in mechanical maintenance OR 4 years equivalent experience.
Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, troubleshooting techniques, and safety practices.
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and schematics.
Computer skills including Microsoft Office and SAP or ERP maintenance systems.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Nice To Haves

Mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, welding & pipe fitting experience.
Ability to fabricate simple parts and perform rigging.
Food or drug manufacturing experience aligned to GMP.
Ability to identify different lubrication types/specs.

Responsibilities

Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on mechanical systems (conveyors, pumps, gearboxes, hydraulics).
Troubleshoot mechanical failures and conduct root cause analysis.
Read and interpret mechanical drawings and manuals.
Document maintenance activities and manage inventory in SAP/SmartFactory.
Collaborate with electricians and automation technicians.
Ensure compliance with safety, GMP, sanitation, and quality standards.
Support continuous improvement initiatives and maintain a clean work area.
