MAINTENANCE MECHANIC
About The Position

This role involves assisting with and performing hands-on maintenance for daily operations, including the upkeep and maintenance of all building areas and residential units. The position requires working on and assisting in repair and maintenance tasks related to plumbing, HVAC, and electrical systems. The role also involves following safety and maintenance standards, assisting with the installation of new equipment, and performing repairs to existing equipment in residential and common areas. Additionally, the maintenance mechanic will assist with projects, help resolve problems, handle complaints, and provide customer service to residents. A rotating on-call schedule, including during weather-related emergencies and winter storms requiring snow removal, is part of the role. The position requires frequent interaction with residents, staff, visitors, and vendors.
Requirements
- Skilled maintenance experience.
- Previous experience in maintenance.
- Must possess valid New York state driver’s license.
- A working knowledge of Microsoft word and Excel is required.
Nice To Haves
- Experience working with seniors a plus but not required.
Responsibilities
- Assists with and performs hands on maintenance for daily operations.

- Follow safety and maintenance standards and procedures.

- Ability to interact effectively and courteously with residents, staff and management team to meet the objectives of the maintenance department.
- Rotating on-call schedule/on-call during weather related emergencies.
- Winter storms require all maintenance workers to assist with snow removal and winter related tasks.
- Will perform other duties as assigned.
