About The Position

The Maintenance Mechanic supports the Muskogee facility by executing scheduled preventive maintenance, basic repairs, and inspections on production equipment under general supervision. The role emphasizes safety, accurate documentation, and teamwork while providing hands‑on experience and training opportunities to develop mechanical maintenance expertise.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent (preferred).
• 0–2 years of mechanical maintenance, manufacturing, military, vocational, or related experience.
• Basic mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn maintenance practices.
• Ability to safely use hand tools, power tools, and basic measuring/diagnostic equipment.
• Ability to read simple work instructions and identify common mechanical components.
• Effective communication skills with supervisors, technicians, and operators.
• Ability to lift, carry, push, or pull materials and equipment as required.
• Commitment to follow all NOV safety, quality, environmental, and Lockout/Tagout requirements.
• Basic documentation and computer skills.
• Team‑oriented, dependable, detail‑focused, and safety‑focused attitude.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine preventive maintenance and basic repairs on manufacturing equipment.
• Conduct inspections, lubrication, adjustments, and component replacements using hand and power tools.
• Follow work orders, maintenance instructions, and established safety procedures including Lockout/Tagout.
• Report equipment problems and unsafe conditions to the supervisor promptly.
• Assist experienced technicians with troubleshooting and repairs.
• Maintain a clean, organized work area and adhere to housekeeping standards.
• Complete maintenance documentation accurately and in a timely manner.
• Support daily maintenance activities for the Muskogee operation.
• Participate in training and development to build mechanical maintenance knowledge.
• Work scheduled shifts and overtime as required while complying with all safety, quality, and environmental policies.
