About The Position

We are looking for an experienced MAINTENANCE MECHANIC to join our Lithia Springs, GA plant. This is a full-time position Monday to Thursday, 4:00 PM to 2:30 AM with additional $1.00/hour shift premium. This position requires at least five (5) years of industrial maintenance experience. We offer competitive benefits and salary, plus up to $1.00/ hour increase after 90 days. You will be responsible for ensuring our customers' satisfaction by achieving maximum uptime on our manufacturing equipment. You will also work closely with all departments in the facility, including Production, Shipping, and more. Requirements

  • At least five (5) years of industrial maintenance experience.
  • Safety-minded with thorough knowledge of occupational hazards and of related safety practices.
  • Remarkable sense of urgency.
  • Great work ethic and impeccable attendance.
  • Ability to understand technical service manuals and maintain basic records for repair work done.
  • PLC practical experience and troubleshooting mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic issues.
  • Ability to perform assigned tasks properly and in a timely manner.
  • Ability to operate personal computer and knowledge of basic computer applications, including computer generated parts and service manuals.
  • Maintain a current state Driver’s License and a clean Motor Vehicle Record.
  • Good communication and interpersonal relationships.
  • Capable of working in confined spaces.
  • Must be able to work overtime, on-call duties when necessary.
  • Able to walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, and climb.
  • Must be able to perform heavy work and/or up to 50 pounds of force frequently.

Nice To Haves

  • Candidates with Knowledge on NEC and NFPA codes and standards preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Knowledge in mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic equipment.
  • Install, repair, and maintain plant process machinery including mixers, packers, motors, pneumatic systems, and conveyor systems, and provide a detailed written description of work performed.
  • Perform electrical troubleshooting to determine the source of the problem, and correct the issue once identified.
  • Operate light mobile equipment such as forklifts, portable welding machines, man-lifts, and skid loaders.
  • Ability to provide breakdown reports, parts usage, and the ability to read electrical and mechanical diagrams.
  • Perform preventive and predictive maintenance on equipment per assigned schedule.
  • Some facility maintenance may include plumbing, sheetrock work, carpentry, etc.
