About The Position
Join the team at Eck Industries, a leading aluminum foundry in Manitowoc, WI, where we produce precision aluminum castings for aerospace, defense, and other cutting-edge industries. We are seeking a detail-oriented Maintenance Mechanic to ensure equipment and machinery operate safely, efficiently, and at peak performance.
Requirements
- 2-3 years of hands-on experience as a Maintenance Mechanic or in a mechanical/electrical role within an industrial or manufacturing environment preferred
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- Technical school or maintenance-related training is a plus
- Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills with the ability to diagnose and repair equipment efficiently
Responsibilities
- Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on machinery, equipment, and facility systems
- Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues, including control panels and production equipment
- Conduct routine inspections and complete general facility maintenance tasks
- Assist with equipment installation, relocation, and plant improvement initiatives
- Support machining, fabrication, and capital projects, working with internal teams and vendors
- Monitor equipment performance and implement improvements to increase uptime and efficiency
- Maintain accurate maintenance records, inspections, and communicate status updates to leadership
- Follow safety protocols and maintain clean, organized work areas in accordance with 6S standards
