MES - Maintenance Mechanic
About The Position
Buitoni Food Company is a producer of premium refrigerated pasta and sauces. The company has operated in the Danville community since 1988 and is investing in modernizing its facility. The Maintenance Mechanic diagnoses, installs, maintains, troubleshoots, and repairs plant machinery, equipment, physical structures, piping, and electrical systems. The role requires working in varied environments, solving problems, and using appropriate tools and equipment. Work varies according to plant needs and production requirements. The mechanic is expected to be self-motivated, complete work in a timely manner, and collaborate productively with other employees.
Requirements
- High school diploma or General Education Degree (GED).
- At least 2 years of work experience as an industrial mechanic.
- Ability to diagnose mechanical problems and make repairs.
- Knowledge of standard materials, tools, and equipment, and skill in using and caring for tools.
- Pass a written, standardized mechanical test as a selected candidate.
Responsibilities
- Diagnose, install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair machinery and equipment.
- Maintain and repair physical structures, piping, and electrical systems in the plant.
- Use tools and equipment appropriate to each job, including their proper care.
- Solve problems and complete maintenance jobs in a timely manner.
- Work productively with other employees to support plant production needs.
