About The Position

As a Maintenance Mechanic at JLL, you will play a vital role in ensuring the operational excellence and safety of our client facilities. This hands-on position requires you to perform a broad range of building maintenance and repair tasks, from lighting and electrical systems to plumbing and locksmith services. Your technical expertise and proactive approach will directly contribute to creating safe, functional, and welcoming environments for building occupants. By supporting our operations team and responding effectively to client needs, you will help JLL deliver exceptional facility management solutions that exceed expectations.

Requirements

  • Minimum of three years of working experience in general building repair and maintenance, basic plumbing, and basic electrical work
  • High school diploma or GED equivalent
  • Ability to rekey doors and cut new keys for buildings in the assigned area
  • Must be able to lift a minimum of 50 lbs. and use ladders up to 30 ft
  • Excellent communication skills in English, with mechanical and electrical aptitude
  • Ability to stand, walk, reach, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl as necessary, with good vision and ability to adjust focus
  • Must complete background and drug testing

  • Completion of an applicable technical training program is desirable
  • Self-motivated individual who can work independently or effectively within a team environment
  • Ability to comply with both Jones Lang LaSalle and client-directed policies and procedures
  • Willingness to participate in ongoing technical, safety, and operational process training programs
  • Experience with documentation of work performance and materials procurement
  • Knowledge of state, county, or city ordinances, codes, and laws related to building maintenance
  • Familiarity with policies for safe storage, usage, and disposal of hazardous materials

Responsibilities

  • Maintain lighting system bulbs and ballasts, rekey doors, and cut keys while maintaining accurate key
  • Assist the operations team in building and equipment maintenance and repair activities
  • Perform general interior maintenance tasks, including hanging pictures, installing keyboard trays, and repairing office furniture systems
  • Handle minor plumbing repairs and complete special tasks such as painting, locksmith work, tenant service requests, and general maintenance as assigned.
  • Assist with moving office furniture, machinery, equipment, and other materials as requested by clients or the operations team
  • Conduct facility inspections and due diligence efforts, reporting on conditions impacting client occupancy and operations
  • Respond effectively to emergencies, comply with safety procedures and regulations, and maintain a clean and safe work environment
