Maintains facility and equipment in safe and proper operating condition. The Maintenance Mechanic repairs and maintains production equipment, troubleshoots equipment failures, and performs routine and emergency mechanical, hydraulic/pneumatic, and electrical maintenance. In addition, he or she assists with the install of new equipment and fabricates new equipment or supplemental pieces when needed.
Requirements
- High School Diploma, or equivalent, required
- Excellent computer & communication skills
- Strong mechanical, electrical and machine shop skills
- Must have 2nd class fireman license or higher or the ability to obtain one
- The ideal candidate will have 5-7 years of mechanical experience; 1-3 years is required
Responsibilities
- Maintains complex production equipment
- Troubleshoot failure and repairs
- Predictive maintenance of equipment and facility
- Scheduled and emergency maintenance of equipment and facility
- Performs basic maintenance and upkeep of facilities, grounds and buildings
