About The Position

North Coast Container is looking for a skilled Maintenance Mechanic to join their Charlotte team. This role is for a hands-on maintenance professional who enjoys troubleshooting equipment, solving complex mechanical challenges, and keeping production running at peak performance in a manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate will take pride in keeping equipment reliable, minimizing downtime, and contributing to a safe and efficient operation. Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • 3 to 5 years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment
  • Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills
  • Experience with PLCs and drives
  • Experience with hydraulics and pneumatics
  • Experience with MIG and ARC welding
  • Experience with metal fabrication
  • Experience with industrial machinery repair and maintenance
  • Ability to work with or without schematics
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Strong commitment to safety and quality

Responsibilities

  • Follow all company safety policies and OSHA regulations.
  • Perform preventative maintenance on manufacturing equipment.
  • Troubleshoot machinery and implement corrective actions.
  • Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
  • Remove, modify, repair, and replace machine components as needed.
  • Order replacement parts in accordance with company procedures.
  • Perform ARC and MIG welding.
  • Execute torch cutting and metal fabrication projects.
  • Work with pipe fittings and related systems.
  • Learn and operate production equipment as needed.
  • Troubleshoot and perform electrical work.
  • Program, modify, and troubleshoot PLCs and drives.
  • Use laptops and diagnostic tools to identify equipment issues.
  • Read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and technical drawings.
  • Train and support new maintenance team members.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement efforts that increase equipment reliability and operational efficiency.
