About The Position

The Maintenance Mechanic plays a critical role in preserving the physical assets of our facility through skilled maintenance and repair of buildings, systems, and equipment. Working under the direction of Facility and Operations Managers at our Brookville, OH location, you will apply your technical expertise to ensure optimal performance of manufacturing process equipment, mechanical systems, and building infrastructure. This position is essential to maintaining operational excellence and safety standards while supporting our client's business objectives through proactive maintenance strategies and rapid response to facility needs.

Requirements

  • Journeyman certification in HVAC, Electrical, Machine Repair, or Mechanical craft areas
  • Minimum 5 years of facility maintenance experience in an industrial or commercial environment
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with attention to detail
  • Extensive knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
  • Current forklift and aerial lift operator's license (or ability to obtain upon hire)
  • Demonstrated knowledge of safety protocols and ability to participate in pre-task planning methods

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with Grobb manufacturing equipment
  • Familiarity with controller programs including Allen-Bradley, Fanuc, and Siemens
  • Knowledge of maintenance management systems such as MAXIMO
  • Experience with backup generators, building automation systems, and building monitoring systems
  • Understanding of indoor air quality management and backflow preventers
  • Basic knowledge of natural gas and water meter calibration

Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot, service, and repair industrial HVAC equipment including air supply houses, roof top units with gas heat, air-cooled chillers, and associated systems
  • Maintain and repair manufacturing process equipment such as tank farm operations, bulk fluid totes, dispensing equipment, and oil mist collectors
  • Diagnose and repair mechanical systems including pumps, motors, speed and feed systems, and hydraulic equipment
  • Execute preventative and predictive maintenance programs to minimize equipment downtime and extend asset life
  • Respond to immediate work orders within 24-hour timeframes while maintaining high-quality repair standards
  • Monitor and maintain building automation systems, utility systems, power systems (including emergency power and UPS), and compressed air systems
  • Perform general housekeeping in common work areas and maintain spare parts inventories
