About The Position

Sika is looking for an experienced Maintenance Mechanic to join its growing team in the Canton, MA area for our Roofing business. This role is responsible for general facility maintenance on their shift and will report directly to the maintenance Manager. The position involves general office and manufacturing maintenance, lubrication/oil changing of heavy production machinery, and repairing/replacing various mechanical components such as bearings, gear-heads, belts, chains, and conveyors. The role also includes modifying existing structural components to comply with safety regulations and cost-saving measures, while always maintaining high quality and considering Environment, Health & Safety. Other tasks may be assigned by the manager.

Requirements

High School Degree
5 + years of experience industrial mechanical experience in a production environment
Familiarity with environmental, health & safety regulations
Must possess good mechanical aptitude and be able to analyze and troubleshoot problems.
Knowledge of pneumatic cylinders and controls

Nice To Haves

Prior forklift certification a plus
Extrusion and sheet line experience a plus

Responsibilities
