About The Position

Fabricates, installs, and repairs machinery and equipment in industrial establishment by performing the following duties Job Description: Follows safe operating procedures Maintain 7S standards Performs PM activities as the need arises Communicates with co-workers from the previous and following shifts to discuss problems and concerns Actively participates in continuous improvement activities Reads blueprints and schematic drawings to resolve work procedures Operates lathe to grind, file, and turn machine parts to dimensional specifications. Repairs and lubricates machines and equipment Orders supplies with purchase requisition according to work order assigned through Team Leader Closes out work orders upon completion Observes mechanical devices in operation and listens to their sounds to locate causes of trouble Dismantles devices to gain access to and remove defective parts Examines form and texture of mechanical parts to detect imperfections Inspects used mechanical parts to resolve changes in dimensional requirements Adjusts functional parts of devices and control instruments Repairs and replaces defective mechanical parts. Installs special functional and structural parts in devices. Lubricates and cleans parts. Starts devices to test their performance Records maintenance actions performed in computerized maintenance system Completes other tasks within job classification as assigned by Team Leader Assist other associates as directed by the Team Leader and / or Supervisor

Requirements

  • Associate Degree in Mechanical-related field or equivalent from two-year College or technical school; or two years related experience and / or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • Required to obtain lift truck certification
