About The Position

This position is fully onsite in Lino Lakes, MN. The hours are Monday - Friday 5:00am-1:30pm with overtime as needed.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 2+ year technical training or 3 years of experience
  • Read exploded parts diagrams and schematics
  • Team player

  • Basic knowledge of machinery design, use and repair of machines and tools.

  • Ability to learn operation of Computer maintenance program
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds frequently
  • Bend, twist, sit, stand, push, pull, crouch, kneel, stoop, balance, and climb
  • Good visual acuity and hearing
  • Work in confined spaces
  • Elevated locations and below grade
  • Exposure to loud noise controlled through hearing PPE
  • Exposure to dust, fumes, and safety hazards requiring PPE
  • Exposed to extremes in temperature, both hot and cold
  • Able to work overtime or altered schedules as required
  • Able to respond to on-call status

Nice To Haves

  • Precast concrete knowledge is a plus but not required

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for performing scheduled preventative maintenance according to the preventive maintenance program for production equipment and company owned tools (e.g. grease bearings, lubricate slides, change oil in gearboxes, fill auto greasers, replace filters, etc.) to prevent breakdowns.
  • Perform job safely everyday by knowing and following current government safety regulations, Molin safety policies and manufacturers’ recommendations.
  • Ability to test and understand basic electrical equipment, hydraulic equipment and pneumatic apparatus.
  • Review safety/maintenance checklists completed by machine operators and report to management all safety and maintenance requests promptly.
  • Perform interior and exterior preventive maintenance and repairs to on-site buildings as directed.
  • Repair hand tools (power tools, saws, welders, cutting torches, multi-meters) or recommend replacement if requires excessive maintenance.
  • Provide assistance to other maintenance mechanics when dismantling, replacing defective parts and reassembling machinery.
  • Submit parts request to Supervisor for approval as needed for repair parts or as needed to maintain inventory used to perform preventative maintenance duties.
  • Ability to weld with wire feed and stick on mild steel.
  • Ability to operate overhead bridge cranes and use rigging properly.
  • Ability to operate Boom type man lift safely
  • Conduct safety walks, complete accident and near miss forms, participate in safety meetings, and other activities as assigned to promote a safe workplace.
