About The Position

Morgan Advanced Materials, Performance Carbon business in St Marys, PA is seeking a Maintenance Mechanic on 2nd shift (2:00pm - 10:00pm). The ideal candidate will possess working knowledge of carpentry, plumbing, hydraulics, pneumatics, and mechanical repair. Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 4+ years maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Experience in troubleshooting and reading mechanical schematics
  • Understanding of hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical systems and ability and knowledge of gauges and measurements.
  • Possesses hydraulic & pneumatic repair experience
  • Ability to communicate with production operators and other maintenance technicians to be able to explain mechanical processes and root causes
  • Strong focus on safety and quality
  • Citizen of the United States, or Permanent resident alien of the United States, or Protected individual as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3) as defined by 22CFR120.15

Nice To Haves

  • Machining, welding, fabrication and millwright experience is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Properly troubleshoot, adjust and repair all production and material-handling equipment
  • Perform all tasks and duties necessary for efficient start-ups, daily operation, change-over and shut-downs
  • Perform preventative maintenance on and/or repair production machines, heating, cooling and steam systems, material-handling equipment, as well as plumbing, and hydraulic/pneumatics equipment
  • Troubleshoot and repair various mechanical systems
  • Properly record preventative maintenance tasks
  • Complete work orders as required
  • Timely respond to maintenance calls on the production floor
  • Assist in providing installation of new machinery
  • Inventory spare parts and report usage; suggest re-order to maintenance lead
  • Maintain neat and orderly work area, properly maintain tools
