About The Position

We are hiring a Maintenance Mechanic to join our Maintenance team! As Maintenance Mechanic, we’ll rely on you to perform inspections, troubleshooting, maintenance, repair, and servicing of shop and production equipment, components, and machinery, to help keep us up and running, well-positioned to produce our industry-leading Hot Spring® Spas, Caldera® Spas, Endless Pools®, Freeflow Spas®, and Fantasy Spas® products. You will also help identify root causes of various issues, repair equipment to the highest Quality standard, and proactively perform preventative maintenance to all production and building equipment, such as mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, plumbing, basic electrical systems, motors and motor controls, and CNC/PLC control systems.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
  • At least 7 years’ maintenance mechanic experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience using MS Office suite, specifically Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Must be able to use a Computerized Maintenance Management System.
  • Must be able to Prepare and review work orders, material requisitions, reports, and other documentation.
  • Must understand and be able to explain basic electrical theory, including OHMS law, and be able to demonstrate understanding of simple circuits, both AC and DC, up to 480 Volts.
  • Must also have the ability to test and troubleshoot a motor and motor controls.
  • Must understand and be able to explain basic fluid power principles (hydraulics and pneumatics) such as the difference between flow and pressure and how to calculate force of a cylinder.
  • Must understand and be able to explain basic mechanical principles, such as how to change the speed of a rotating assembly and how to calculate the force needed to move an object.
  • Must have fabrication skills, including the ability to perform repair welding and basic drilling, bolting, and torquing for various fasteners.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to interact with all levels within the organization, including the ability to present information to a group of co-workers, supervisors, managers, or higher-level executives.
  • Ability to work well independently with minimal supervision, as well as within a strong team environment.
  • Must frequently lift and move up to 20 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, peripheral vision and depth perception.
  • Must be able to verify identity and eligibility to work in the United States and to complete the required employment eligibility verification form upon hire.

Responsibilities

  • Perform inspections, troubleshooting, maintenance, repair, and servicing of shop and production equipment, components, and machinery.
  • Identify root causes of various issues and repair equipment to the highest Quality standard.
  • Proactively perform preventative maintenance to all production and building equipment, including mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, plumbing, basic electrical systems, motors and motor controls, and CNC/PLC control systems.
  • Take initiative to resolve issues using critical thinking skills.
  • Contribute to streamlining processes.
  • Prioritize safety and follow various safety rules and regulations, including LOTO, Arc Flash Prevention, Fall Prevention, and Total Productive Maintenance.
  • Follow established policies related to preventative maintenance paperwork and part usage.
  • Perform scheduled preventative maintenance and unscheduled servicing and repairs as required.
  • Plan and coordinate equipment improvements and upgrades that will improve safety, productivity, and Quality, and reduce operating costs.
  • Lead and participate in the design and fabrication of metal structures (brackets, supports, etc.).
