About The Position

PlayPower is seeking a full-time Maintenance Mechanic to join their Maintenance Department. This role is responsible for providing a safe, comfortable, and clean operating environment by performing preventive maintenance, and installing, maintaining, and repairing tools, equipment, machinery, and buildings. Requirements

  • 3 years' experience
  • Experience with TIG/MIG welding aluminum and steel
  • Working knowledge of industrial, electrical, plumbing, and sheet metal fabrication
  • Working knowledge of OSHA, DEP, and EPA standards
  • Ability to operate a forklift/manlift
  • Must be able to lift a maximum of 50 lbs frequently
  • Must be able to work in heat and cold
  • Must be able to be on your feet 10 hours a day
  • Must have a Pennsylvania driver's license
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form
  • Ability to read and interpret basic documents, safety rules and other correspondence
  • Ability to count and ability to measure equipment using a tape measure
  • Must be able to work as a team

Nice To Haves

  • General knowledge of pneumatics, hydraulics, and machining is helpful.
  • Computer literacy preferred.
  • Mold Maintenance a plus

Responsibilities

  • Ensures operation of systems and equipment by following appropriate codes, manuals, schematic diagrams, blueprints, diagrams, sketches, manufacturer's instructions, and other specifications; and by troubleshooting.
  • Performs preventative and reactive maintenance on tooling by performing preventative maintenance tasks, performing light repairs on aluminum molds, and repairs on steel frames.
  • Installs new machines and equipment by installing power supply wiring and conduit to and between machines and equipment; using hand tools and test equipment.
  • Repairs systems and equipment by diagnosing malfunctioning apparatus, such as transformers, motors and lighting fixtures; inspecting and testing malfunctioning machinery; observing mechanical devices in operation; listening for problems; using precision measuring and testing instruments.
  • Repairs and replaces faulty electrical components by using test equipment and hand tools to install relays, breakers, switches, motors, printed circuit boards, and position-sensing devices.
  • Maintains technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing technical publications; establishing personal networks.
  • Maintains equipment and part supplies by anticipating needed equipment, parts, and supplies; and advising the maintenance supervisor of needed materials.
  • Maintains continuity among work teams by documenting and communicating actions, irregularities, and continuing needs.
  • Maintains a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules and regulations.
  • Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
  • Maintains compliance to environmental standards by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
  • Performs any additional duties as requested.
