About The Position

Under the direction of the Director of Facility Services, the Craftsman performs a variety of skilled mechanical tasks in the repair, servicing, and general maintenance of the hospital physical plant and equipment, such as boilers, pumps, air conditioning equipment, electrical, plumbing, and carpentry.

Requirements

Must possess the skill, knowledge and ability essential to the successful performance of assigned duties
Must demonstrate customer service skills appropriate to the job
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
Ability to maintain a work pace appropriate to the workload
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships across the Health System
Must have valid California Drivers License
Three years previous hospital maintenance experience required
Must be able to provide proof of work authorization

Nice To Haves

Knowledge of University and medical center organizations, policies, procedures and forms
High School of vocational school graduate preferred
Courses related to mechanics, refrigeration, and boiler operation desirable
