About The Position

Address day to day maintenance issues that impact the factory’s ability to manufacture product. Collaborate with peers, engineers, and managers to ensure building systems and manufacturing equipment is operating safely and efficiently.

Requirements

  • Requires trade school completion (post high school) with practical training in a recognized trade or craft (plumbing, HVAC, electrical, carpentry) and three to five years of relevant experience.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret blueprints, engineering specifications, and technical procedures.
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from engineers and managers.
  • Ability to apply advanced shop math concepts such as fractions, ratios, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume to practical situations.
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
  • Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
  • Post high school trade school certificate.
  • Must be thoroughly familiar with Joint Industry Council (J.I.C.) hydraulics, pneumatic standards, and industrial ventilation.
  • The position requires U.S. Citizen, Permanent Legal Resident or granted Asylee/Refugee status under the Immigration and Nationality Act.

Responsibilities

  • Design, layout, construct, install and service structural metal (either soldered, riveted or welded jobs) and heavy construction pipe systems, including steam, hydraulic, low/high pressure pneumatic, vacuum, industrial production and processing system.
  • Ability to utilize drawings, schematics, blueprints, specifications, sketches and verbal instructions.
  • Construct guards, cyclone or other complicated exhaust systems, and air and water tight containers. Replace expansion joints in pressured air/water/steam lines.
  • Install and/or repair plumbing equipment and fixtures including plastic, ceramic, and metal.
  • Ability to set up and operate a brake shear, rolling machine, welding equipment, etc.
  • Ability to use hand tools and measuring devices.
  • Disassemble or set up all manner of machinery or related equipment.
  • Work closely with engineers, peers, and other team members in designing, creating, and maintaining complete systems including all heavy construction/facilities, structural, plumbing, water/steam lines and drains.
  • Requires minimal supervision on assigned projects.
  • Ability to troubleshoot, assist troubleshooting, install, repair, and maintain production equipment.
  • Ability to use a computer and internal applications to monitor progress on assigned tasks.
  • Ability to collaborate with outside contractors, vendors, and agencies as required. Ability to source replacement parts and equipment.
  • Assist with layout, design, and relocation of office and factory equipment.
  • Must attend and complete required trainings identified by the company.
  • Maintain parts and tool inventory.
  • Other tasks and duties as assigned and required.
