About The Position

Perform a variety of activities to maintain plant equipment and facilities in optimum operating condition. This includes scheduled preventative maintenance and emergency/breakdown repairs and maintenance, such as lubricating, measuring wear, measuring positions, repositioning components, and observing operations, vibrations, and noise levels. The role requires referencing equipment manuals and other technical literature, contacting and working with vendors and sub-contractors, and accurately using measurement and testing equipment. Responsibilities also include performing electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, steam system, and other repairs and installations, safely operating the boiler, accurately and completely preparing and maintaining maintenance records, troubleshooting and solving problems, maintaining teamwork with other associates, and keeping supervision informed of problems and other maintenance situations. Other maintenance duties may be assigned.

Requirements

  • Candidates must successfully complete an online Non-Technical General Maintenance Test, an online Technical General Maintenance Test and an Interview
  • Employment Offers are contingent upon successful completion of a pre-employment Health Assessment, Drug Screen and Background Check prior to starting work
  • Ability to read, write and speak English
  • Well-rounded electrical, mechanical & machine shop skills and experience
  • Ability to learn and follow instructions

  • Following all safety rules and practices
  • Referencing equipment manuals and other technical literature
  • Contacting & working with vendors and sub-contractors
  • Accurately using measurement and testing equipment
  • Performing electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, steam system and other repairs and installations as needed
  • Safely operating the boiler
  • Accurately & completely preparing & maintaining maintenance records
  • Troubleshooting & solving problems
  • Maintaining teamwork with other associates
  • Keeping supervision informed of problems & other maintenance situations
  • Performing other maintenance duties, as assigned
