About The Position

Eaton’s ES GEIS BLD division is currently seeking a Maintenance Mechanic - 2nd Shift at our Troy, IL facility! The core hours are Monday - Friday, 3:00 p.m. - 11:00 p.m. Overtime may exceed these hours and be mandatory at times. The hourly rate for this position is $27.92 per hour, plus a $.50 cent shift differential per hour. Please note the salary information shown above is a general guideline only. Salaries are based upon candidate skills, experience, and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.

Requirements

  • Only candidates within a 50-mile radius of Troy, IL will be considered. Active Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation.
  • Eaton will not consider applicants for employment immigration sponsorship or support for this position. This means that Eaton will not support any CPT, OPT, or STEM OPT plans, F-1 to H-1B cap registration, O-1, E-3, TN status, I-485 job portability, etc.
  • Ability to operate Rigging Equipment to include nylon straps, wire braded straps, wire braded chain slings, sheet stock handler, rail rack attachment and spreader bars.
  • Ability to wear Fall protection Body Harness and lanyard

Responsibilities

  • Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on plant equipment and machinery.
  • Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve equipment and mechanical issues.
  • Install, repair, and/or fabricate new equipment and components as needed.
  • Supporting the Tier 1 & 2 operational processes through completion of action cards and rapid response activities.
  • Support physical transformation and continuous improvement (GDP) initiatives throughout the facility.
