About The Position

Performs preventive maintenance (PM) services, inspection, and repair of grounds, buildings, and structures. This includes electrical, HVAC, and plumbing work for the maintenance, repair, and overhauling of heating, cooling, cleaning, filtering, and circulating systems, other related building and maintenance systems, fixtures, and utility systems. The role involves performing maintenance tasks across various trades including electrical, air conditioning, heating, plumbing, pipefitting, carpentry, painting, cement and tile setting, and groundskeeping/landscaping. Ensures finished projects meet accepted trade standards and are documented. Plans and organizes work schedules to meet deadlines. Assists with utility failure drills, snow and ice removal, and demolition tasks. Adheres to CDC Guidelines for Infection Control in Health Care Facilities and determines protective measures required by an Infection Control Risk Assessment. Responds to general work orders issued by the Facility Maintenance Manager or Supervisor. Performs other related duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Must have a valid, unrestricted insurable driver’s license.
  • Resume and references are required.
  • Two years (2) of direct work experience in the construction or maintenance field.
  • High School Diploma or Equivalency (HSE) Certificate from Trade or Vocational School.

Responsibilities

  • Performs preventive maintenance (PM) services, inspection, and repair of grounds, building and structures.
  • Performs maintenance tasks involving electrical, air conditioning, and heating equipment, plumbing, pipefitting, carpentry, painting, cement and tile setting and grounds keeping and landscaping.
  • Ensures finished projects meet accepted trade standards, and documented.
  • Plans and organizes work schedule to meet deadlines.
  • Assists to in utility failures drills including, bomb threats, fire, hazardous materials spills, external and internal disasters.
  • Assists with snow and ice removal during the winter months.
  • Assist with demolition (tearing out ceiling tiles, ripping down sheet rock walls, removes cabling, pipes and electrical lines).
  • Meets Center for Disease Control (CDC) Guidelines for Infection Control in Health Care Facilities.
  • Determines protective measures required by an Infection Control Risk Assessment.
  • Assist with general work orders issued from Facility Maintenance Manager or Facility Maintenance Supervisor.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.
