About The Position

As a Maintenance Mechanic at JLL, you play a vital role in supporting facility operations and maintenance. You will ensure a safe, efficient, and welcoming environment by handling general interior and exterior maintenance, light commercial renovations, event and conference setup/breakdown, as well as preventive maintenance and safety assurance responsibilities. This position directly contributes to JLL's operational excellence and client satisfaction by delivering professional and responsive services across the site.

Requirements

  • Experience in general maintenance and repair including painting, electrical, plumbing, and mechanical systems.
  • Ability to operate various equipment such as forklifts, boom lifts, and man lifts with proper certification.
  • Knowledge of preventive maintenance procedures for vehicles and facility equipment.
  • Understanding of safety procedures and hazard recognition within maintenance environments.
  • Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting, bending, climbing, and operating heavy equipment.
  • Strong customer service skills and professional communication abilities.
  • Knowledge of building codes, ordinances, and safety regulations.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in commercial facility maintenance and light renovation work.
  • Background in conference and event setup with equipment handling experience.
  • Understanding of HVAC, electrical, and plumbing systems in commercial environments.
  • Experience with subcontractor supervision and coordination.
  • Knowledge of fitness center equipment maintenance and inspection procedures.

Responsibilities

  • Perform general interior maintenance tasks such as painting, door and flooring installation, hanging pictures, repairing office furniture, and replacing lighting.
  • Provide moving services including packing, loading, unloading, and setup/breakdown for conference rooms and special events.
  • Deliver and set up tables, chairs, signs, banners, and other equipment to support conferences, food service requirements, and special events.
  • Execute preventive maintenance and minor repairs on facility mechanical, electrical, plumbing systems, trucks, and utility vehicles.
  • Operate equipment including forklifts, boom lifts, battery-operated man lifts, and street sweepers, ensuring certifications and safety protocols.
  • Supervise subcontractors and execute ice/snow removal as needed for property safety and appearance.
  • Conduct facility inspections, hazard assessments, and propose methods to address safety concerns in compliance with codes and regulations.
