About The Position

Cedarbrook Senior Care & Rehab is seeking a Part-Time Maintenance Mechanic for its Skilled Nursing Facility in Fountain Hill. This is a part-time position with 32 hours per week, requiring every other weekend and holiday rotation. The hours are flexible. The position is not benefit-eligible and offers $21.00/hour from the hire date.

Requirements

• Thorough knowledge of principles, practices, methods, and techniques commonly employed in mechanical & structural maintenance repair and repair work.
• Thorough knowledge of tools, materials, and safety precautions of mechanical & structural maintenance and repair work.
• Ability to operate motor vehicles of various sizes, maintenance and construction equipment.
• Ability to determine time, materials, equipment required to complete assigned jobs.
• Ability to instruct and oversee the efforts of other personnel.
• Ability to understand and follow oral and written instructions.
• Ability to keep record of activities.
• Ability to lift, carry and maneuver into position of variety of heavy and/or unwieldy tools and materials.
• Ability to work in close proximity to nursing facility patients, families & visitors, if required by work assignment.
• Must have full use of hands, ability to stand for extensive periods, bend, pull, push and lift a minimum of 40 pounds.
• Education equivalent to completion of 12th grade.
• 2-3 years' experience in equipment & facility maintenance or repair work.
• Any equivalent combination of training & experience which has provided the knowledge, skills & abilities cited above.
• Possession of a valid motor vehicle operator's license issued by the Commonwealth of PA.

Responsibilities
