About The Position

This position is responsible for troubleshooting, maintaining, and repairing all equipment and company assets while maintaining a safe work environment and adhering to Tyson policies and procedures. The successful candidate(s) must be willing and able to perform the physical requirements of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation. These General Mechanic positions could work any department in Harvest or Processing of this beef processing facility. Standing, walking, bending, stretching, climbing, pushing, pulling and reaching are required in all areas and must be able to climb up/down stairs and ladders. Lifting up to 100 pounds is required. These positions work in cold, damp or hot and humid environments (30 degrees to 105 degrees). Tyson is an Equal Opportunity Employer. Requirements

6 months experience of mechanic work in the work history section of application or be a graduate of an industrial maintenance training program
Must be mechanically inclined
Willing and able to perform the physical requirements of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation
Standing, walking, bending, stretching, climbing, pushing, pulling and reaching are required in all areas
Must be able to climb up/down stairs and ladders
Lifting up to 100 pounds is required
Work in cold, damp or hot and humid environments (30 degrees to 105 degrees)
