Perform a variety of maintenance duties including but not limiting to building, maintaining, installing, removing, and/or replacing. This role involves routine inspection of major utilities systems such as heating, domestic hot water, electrical, emergency power distribution system, plumbing, medical gas, vacuum, bulk oxygen reading, negative pressure rooms reading, fire alarm and monitoring systems. The mechanic will document results, identify, report, and troubleshoot abnormal conditions, and revise existing HVAC system operations through a Computerized Building Management System, making temperature adjustments and monitoring chillers and boilers operations. The position also requires responding to fire system alarms, resetting systems, and repairing hospital beds, stretchers, well chairs, hospital fixtures, doors, and locks. Additionally, the role includes incremental unit coils cleaning, filters replacement, assisting with renovations and general hospital maintenance, and troubleshooting mechanical, structural, or plumbing problems. Exposure to industrial power tools and heavy lifting is expected.
