About The Position

Heidelberg Materials is one of the world's largest suppliers of building materials. Heidelberg Materials North America operates over 450 locations across the U.S. and Canada with approximately 9,000 employees. This role will assist with inspecting, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing mobile and stationary equipment. The trainee will perform routine preventive maintenance to help keep equipment operating safely and reliably. They will learn to diagnose mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic equipment issues with guidance from experienced team members. The role involves using hand and power tools safely while following established maintenance and safety procedures. Additionally, the trainee will maintain accurate service records and help keep tools, equipment, and work areas clean and organized.

Requirements

• Strong mechanical aptitude with an interest in developing maintenance and repair skills.
• Ability to learn equipment systems, troubleshooting methods, and preventive maintenance practices.
• Commitment to working safely and following established procedures and policies.
• Ability to effectively use basic hand and power tools and follow technical instructions.
• Dependable team player with effective communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
• Successful candidate must submit to post-offer pre-employment physical examination, drug/alcohol screen, and background check.
• Some positions require FMCSA regulated ongoing drug and alcohol testing.
