About The Position

This role involves performing general equipment repair, including making alterations, installations, and repairs on all types of plant machinery and auxiliary equipment using a variety of materials. The technician must ensure all safety guards and devices are in place after job completion and must be able to read prints and lift heavy objects. A forklift license is also required. The position may involve electrical troubleshooting, repair, or installation, and requires compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices and Good Documentation Practices. Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

Must be able to read and write.
Must be dependable.
Must have a good attendance record.
Must be willing to be on call and work overtime as necessary.
Must have at least four years mechanical experience using the skills described in the job summary.
Must be able to lift heavy material and handle physical effort.
Responsible for the safety of others in the performance of job duties.
Experience in a manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

Performs general equipment repair.
Uses a variety of materials to make alterations, installations and repairs on all types of plant machinery and on all auxiliary equipment.
Works in a safe manner, insuring all guards and safety devices are in place after job completion.
Reads prints.
Lifts heavy objects.
Obtains a fork lift license.
Performs all other duties as assigned.
May perform electrical troubleshooting, repair or installation.
Compliance with applicable Good Manufacturing Practices and Good Documentation Practices.
