About The Position

Join Orlando Health as a Senior Maintenance Mechanic! This is a full-time opportunity within the Facilities & Engineering department. Orlando Health is seeking a Senior Maintenance Mechanic to help ensure our facilities, equipment, and critical infrastructure operate safely and efficiently to support exceptional patient care. As a Senior Maintenance Mechanic, you will perform corrective, emergency, and preventative maintenance on electrical, mechanical, HVAC, plumbing, power generation, and medical gas systems. You will inspect, calibrate, adjust, lubricate, repair, and replace equipment components as needed. You will also complete preventative maintenance work orders accurately and efficiently, maintain maintenance records, and ensure work complies with established standards and specifications. Additionally, you will assist with major equipment repairs, installations, and facility improvement projects, support compliance with state, federal, and Joint Commission regulations, and coordinate and document fire and life safety inspections and procedures. You will also train and mentor engineers and general mechanics on equipment and maintenance practices, promote teamwork, and collaborate with Facilities, Safety, and Security departments, and maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • Five (5) years of maintenance mechanic experience in healthcare or a similar environment required
  • Trade or vocational school graduates may qualify with two (2) years of relevant experience
  • Strong knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, mechanical, and building systems
  • Ability to troubleshoot and repair a variety of facility equipment
  • Excellent communication, organization, and teamwork skills
  • Commitment to safety, quality, and customer service
