About The Position

The Maintenance Mechanic III performs repairs and maintenance on Aspirus Wausau Hospital buildings, equipment, and compounds. The role includes a variety of skilled and semi-skilled work, including routine and preventive maintenance, as well as emergency disaster and recovery services and repairs. The mechanic performs maintenance for assigned Aspirus facilities throughout the Aspirus regions in Wisconsin.

This is a full-time position at 1.0 FTE, working 80 hours every two weeks on a day/night rotation.

Requirements

• Knowledge of mechanical standards and practices, normally acquired through a high school diploma, GED, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• State-approved apprenticeship as a Millwright or Machinery Repairman, or equivalent work-life experience.
• Completion of a designated course or equivalent at Northcentral Technical College.
• Five years of experience in building and equipment maintenance, or equivalent.
• Current BLS certification or ability to obtain it within 90 days of hire.
• Current driver's license.
• Maintain annual competencies as required by Aspirus and/or regulatory agencies based on the entity and job position.
