The Maintenance Mechanic II role involves ensuring safety, quality, and operational efficiency within the plant. This includes demonstrating thorough knowledge of best safety practices, complying with company safety policies, troubleshooting unsafe conditions, and actively ensuring human safety. The role also requires superior knowledge of quality systems, compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices, and completion of product and food safety checks as per HACCP and MCP programs. The mechanic will actively participate in preventing and correcting quality issues and food safety investigations. Interaction with others should be consistent with company philosophies. Operationally, the role involves analyzing and solving electro/mechanical problems on processing, packing, and auxiliary equipment, assisting manufacturing personnel, executing assigned projects, reading blueprints and schematics, working with low and high voltage electrical components, performing changeovers and line start-ups, conducting preventative maintenance, and maintaining daily work records using MP2 software. The role also emphasizes representing the company's core values and behaviors. Measurable outcomes include preventive maintenance effectiveness, equipment uptime, troubleshooting and diagnostics proficiency, response time improvement, work order efficiency, and safety leadership. The position holds responsibility for quality and technical system adherence, completion of production plans, health and safety, and impeccable hygiene standards.
