About The Position

The Maintenance Mechanic II is someone who has some mechanical knowledge and work experience. Will work with entry level and more experience maintenance mechanics. Troubleshoot and resolve issues with air handlers, exhaust fans, and in room heat coils. Seek input from more experienced maintenance mechanics when need assistance with resolving issues. Maintain a clean and safe work environment. Adhere to all JMC policies and procedures. Follow all safety requirements. Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• High school graduate or equivalent required
• 1-3 year of maintenance experience.
• Ability to communicate in writing and verbally.
• Ability to adapt and react during stressful situations.
• Annual Joint Commission mandatory education requirements, in-service and health requirements including attendance at new employee orientation.
• TB/PPD Surveillance Program
• Maintenance of required professional licensing and/or certification(s).

Nice To Haves

• Graduate of trades school or related community college program preferred.
• Experience in hospital or industrial setting preferred.
