The Maintenance Mechanic II is responsible for conducting preventative maintenance and advanced troubleshooting on all electrical, mechanical, pneumatic and hydraulic equipment. Conducting or assisting with repairs on production or process equipment and general facility maintenance as required. Teaching or mentoring other mechanics.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Minimum of 5 years maintenance mechanic experience in injection molding.
  • Minimum of 1 year mold setup experience with mold troubleshooting skills.
  • Ability to read hydraulic, electrical and pneumatic prints and diagrams.
  • Ability to read, write and communicate in English
  • Proven ability to exercise sound judgment and effectively analyze, evaluate, and resolve complex technical problems.

Nice To Haves

  • Associate’s degree or 2 Year Technical College Degree preferred.
  • SolidWorks experience preferred.
  • Experience with lean manufacturing concepts.

Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot & repair of complex mechanical problems including hydraulic, pneumatic and electrical systems
  • Install equipment as required
  • Troubleshoot, repair and set up robots.
  • Perform building maintenance and repairs as needed.
  • Regular attendance and professionalism.
  • Conduct preventative maintenance on all equipment as needed.
  • Properly execute all required paperwork, machine logs and computer data entry required to maintain business systems and traceability of work
  • Maintain adequate stock of parts and supplies by communicating need to restock and following inventory management systems
  • Work closely with engineers and mechanics on the installation of new equipment or the changeover of plant layout requiring the movement of machines and control equipment
  • Responsibility to maintain toolbox with adequate tools to perform the job.
