About The Position

The Maintenance Mechanic I is an entry level position. Primary duties will consist of assisting technicians/specialist with repairs, installation, etc. Through on the job training with technicians and specialist, will learn how to troubleshoot and resolve issues with air handlers, exhaust fans, and in room heat coils. Maintain a clean and safe work environment. Adhere to all JMC policies and procedures. Follow all safety requirements. Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• High school graduate or equivalent required
• 0-1 year of maintenance experience.
• Ability to communicate in writing and verbally.
• Ability to adapt and react during stressful situations.
• Annual Joint Commission mandatory education requirements, in-service and health requirements including attendance at new employee orientation.
• TB/PPD Surveillance Program
• Maintenance of required professional licensing and/or certification(s).

Nice To Haves

• Experience in hospital or industrial setting preferred.
