About The Position
The Maintenance Mechanic I performs entry-level mechanical and electrical maintenance tasks under close supervision. This role supports daily maintenance operations, responds to equipment breakdowns, and ensures machinery operates safely and efficiently in a manufacturing environment while adhering to GMP and safety standards.
Requirements
- High School diploma or GED required.
- 6 months to 1 year of maintenance experience (food industry experience preferred).
- Basic knowledge of electrical, mechanical, and troubleshooting systems.
Nice To Haves
- Industrial Mechanical or Electrical Certification is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Perform basic electrical work (120/220/480V systems).
- Troubleshoot and repair conveyors, ovens, and production equipment.
- Assist with pneumatic, hydraulic, and motor control systems.
- Support PLC troubleshooting.
- Respond promptly to equipment malfunctions to minimize downtime.
- Safely operate hand and power tools.
- Follow established safety programs and GMP standards.
- Communicate effectively with maintenance and operations teams.
