About The Position

Responsible for maintaining production equipment in a safe and efficient manner. Follows GMP’s and SOPs to ensure a safe and quality product. Assist with the disassembly and reassembly as needed.

Requirements

Electrical trouble shooting knowledge.
Mechanical Aptitude.

Nice To Haves

Applicable technical certification.
Food Manufacturing or packaging experience.

Responsibilities

Ensure “Safety First” is always practiced and observes and adheres to all job safety rules.
Adhere to all safety procedures including Machine Guarding, LOTO, IIPP, etc.
Analyzes mechanical and operational problems on assigned equipment and plans for and takes corrective action. Makes necessary corrections and running adjustments to maintain maximum production and quality.
Tests equipment to check operation. Tries out equipment after repairs or extended downtime.
Checks product for visual and quality defects.
Performs preventive maintenance and inspection of assigned equipment, reports findings to supervisor and takes appropriate action.
Examines machine issues, where possible, takes corrective action. Analyzes and records cause of production delays on daily shift report.
Notifies maintenance department lead or supervisor of recurring equipment malfunctions and corrective action taken, and of quality problems or supplies needed.
Instructs and directs any maintenance trainees assigned.
Abide by ALL Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and SOPs.
Responsible for reporting Food Defense observations to Quality Teams.
Perform additional duties as assigned by leadership.
Facility repairs as needed.
