About The Position

Assist skilled craftsperson(s) by performing supportive duties as directed and work under immediate supervision. The level and degree of job responsibilities and requirements vary depending on months of experience and assigned job step. This entry-level role supports production machinery maintenance, setup, operation, troubleshooting, and preventive maintenance in a construction or industrial environment.

Requirements

• May require a high school diploma or equivalent, with previous years of experience in the field or a related area.
• Must possess the knowledge, skills, and abilities needed for the position.
• Ability to understand, follow, and transmit written and oral instructions and communicate effectively with management and supervision.
• Field experience in the chosen craft discipline.
• Knowledge of the safe and efficient use of hand tools, power tools, and layout tools.
• Ability to pass pre-access drug and alcohol testing.
• Must have required tools.
• Ability to move items weighing up to 50 pounds across a construction or industrial site may be required.

Responsibilities

• Work with industry specialists to troubleshoot and diagnose problems with production machinery.
• Learn to set up, run, troubleshoot, and tear down production machinery.
• Assist with keeping designated machinery in running condition.
• Minimize downtime by assisting with effective preventive maintenance procedures and management.
• Assist with troubleshooting machinery errors during production.
• Work with Machine Operators to ensure machines are running safely and properly.
• Observe and comply with all safety and project rules.
• Perform other duties as required.
