About The Position

Perform duties to troubleshoot, repair, install and maintain a wide variety of complex mechanical, electrical, building, and facilities systems. Work detail assigned via CMMS work order system and/or direction from supervision. Work from maintenance manuals, prints, work orders, wiring diagrams, schematics, codes, manuals and instructions. Troubleshoot and diagnose root causes. Perform variety of electrical tests, equipment disassembles and replace defective parts or connections. Reassemble equipment and test it. Install and modify equipment in accordance with local and plant code. Diagnose pneumatic, hydraulic, servo-controlled automation. Troubleshoot electrical circuits as necessary, modify or prepare wiring diagrams to document changes. Test, repair and/or replace defective machine components and units, such as motors, clutches, valves, gear, belts, hoses or controls. Perform preventive maintenance activity and work orders. Assist in training departmental employees. Specify and order material through the purchasing organization to assist in procurement of needed material. Follow safety rules and keep work area in clean and orderly condition. Perform other related duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Successful completion of a pre-employment written test.
  • 8+ years of experience as a Maintenance Mechanic, Industrial Mechanic, or similar role in a manufacturing, industrial, or plant environment.
  • Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, including hydraulics, pneumatics, gearboxes, bearings, conveyors, pumps, motors, valves, and power transmission equipment.
  • Ability to troubleshoot, repair, install, and maintain production equipment and facility systems with minimal supervision.
  • Experience performing preventive maintenance, equipment inspections, adjustments, alignments, and mechanical rebuilds.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, equipment manuals, technical drawings, and work orders.
  • Working knowledge of electrical systems, including troubleshooting of motors, sensors, controls, and related equipment.
  • Ability to use hand tools, power tools, precision measuring instruments, grease gun, and diagnostic equipment safely and effectively.
  • Strong understanding of safety practices, lockout/tagout procedures, OSHA requirements, and safe work practices in an industrial environment.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, prioritize maintenance needs, and respond quickly to equipment breakdowns.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and commitment to quality workmanship.
  • Ability to work overtime, weekends, or off-shift hours as needed.
  • Must be able to lift, climb, bend, stand for extended periods, and work in industrial conditions as required.
