About The Position

We are seeking a Maintenance Mechanic B to join our team at our Stockton, CA bakery. As a Maintenance Mechanic B, you will support the safe and reliable operation of bakery equipment by assisting with repairs, inspections, and troubleshooting across mechanical, electrical, steam, and hydraulic systems to maintain consistent production readiness.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED
3–5 years of industrial maintenance experience
Basic mechanical, electrical, welding, refrigeration, pneumatic, steam, and gearbox knowledge
Foundational PLC troubleshooting and programming skills
Ability to work weekends and adapt to seniority‑based scheduling
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs., perform repetitive motions, and work in bakery production environments
Ability to obtain respirator certification

Nice To Haves

Experience in food manufacturing or bakery maintenance
Experience working with fermentation or bun production equipment
Strong teamwork and communication skills across maintenance and production teams
Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot diverse equipment systems
Experience in continuous improvement or reliability‑focused environments

Responsibilities

Support the maintenance and repair of bakery equipment to ensure safe, reliable operation
Identify and assist in resolving equipment issues related to mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and utility systems
Maintain tools, work areas, and serviced equipment in sanitary and safe condition with all guards in place
Contribute to consistent, food‑safe production by following maintenance standards and supporting continuous improvement
Communicate equipment concerns promptly to mechanics, supervisors, and cross‑functional teams
Build foundational knowledge of bakery equipment operation, fermentation systems, and bun production processes
Support compliance with safety requirements, including respirator certification and proper PPE usage
