About The Position

As a Code Welder/Maintenance Mechanic, you will be responsible for the planned, unplanned, and preventative maintenance tasks required to ensure safe and efficient operational effectiveness of equipment and systems which enable Reworld’s industrial process.

Requirements

  • GED/HS Diploma.
  • A minimum of 2-4 years’ experience in a heavy industrial/manufacturing environment.
  • Must have the ability to work a rotating shift schedule as required.

Nice To Haves

  • Welding R, scaffolding, rigging, laser alignment certifications preferred
  • SMAW, GTAW, and GMAW welding procedures experience preferred
  • Experience welding boiler tubes preferred
  • SMAW and GTAW welding cert to be obtained within 6 months to a year; internal qualification test is needed to obtain certification

Responsibilities

  • Understand and implement safe working practices according to Reworld safety requirements and OMS (operating maintenance standards)
  • Proficient in preventive maintenance tasks including welding, motors, mobile equipment, hydraulic, soot blowers, high pressures steam lines/valves and other boiler related equipment as per maintenance schedule.
  • Utilize root-cause analysis skills to understand breakdown collaborating with various teams and stakeholders in a continuous improvement mindset.
  • Complete all required paperwork and documentation in the company’s computerized maintenance documentation program
  • Utilize Reworld's CMMS to open and close out work orders, check-out spare parts, and other activities as required.
  • Repair and/or maintain the operating condition of industrial production or processing machinery or equipment including boilers, boiler support systems, hydraulics, pumps, and conveyors. This will include inspection, assembly, disassembly, and replacement as necessary
  • Monitor and anticipate machinery or equipment failure utilizing instrumentation and data from monitoring software
  • Inspect operating machines and equipment for conformance with operational and safety performance standards.
  • Have a continuous improvement mindset for self-improvement.
