About The Position

Clow Valve's Machine Shop has an immediate opening for a Maintenance Mechanic A. This is a full-time position on the 1st shift, working Monday through Thursday from 5 am to 3 pm. The starting wage is $30.30 per hour, with a qualified wage of $32.30 per hour. Health insurance is available after 60 days of employment, and a $1500 sign-on bonus is offered after a 120-day probationary period.

Requirements

Must pass aptitude test
Lifting/carrying of less than 50 pounds.
Frequent bending, pushing, pulling, reaching & twisting up to 90 times per hour.
Standing & walking 8 to 10 hours per day.
Ability to move neck forward/back & turn right/left, kneel, squat, & climb using arms and legs.
Repetitive use of both hands & fingers to grasp, flex, extend, exert force, wear gloves, & utilize tools.
Frequent work in extreme temperature conditions inside & outside including but not limited to working on slippery, uneven, unstable surfaces.
Ability to work around machinery
Applicant must have 2-4 years verifiable maintenance mechanic experience, preferably in an industrial/ manufacturing setting.
Ability to wear applicable PPE including: safety glasses, metatarsal guarded boots, hearing protection, respirators, welding mask, etc.
Ability to recognize and utilize all basic and portable power tools and hand tools safely and effectively

Tech degree is a strong plus.

Responsibilities

Repairing, maintaining, installing, lubricating, troubleshooting and adjusting machines and equipment.
Performing routine inspection of equipment.
Perform routine lubrication and cleaning.
Perform minor repairs on hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical equipment and machines.
Use of common hardware including: bolts, pipe fittings, etc.
Preventative maintenance of equipment and machinery.
Operate fork trucks, lifts, and conveyors.
Welding and minor fabrications.
