About The Position

Clow Valve's Machine Shop has an immediate opening for a Maintenance Mechanic A. This role is responsible for repairing, maintaining, installing, lubricating, troubleshooting, and adjusting machines and equipment. The position involves performing routine inspections, lubrication, cleaning, and minor repairs on hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical equipment. The mechanic will also be responsible for preventative maintenance, operating forklifts, lifts, and conveyors, and performing welding and minor fabrications. Experience with CNC machinery is preferred.

Requirements

Must pass aptitude test
Lifting/carrying of less than 50 pounds.
Frequent bending, pushing, pulling, reaching & twisting up to 90 times per hour.
Standing & walking 8 to 10 hours per day.
Ability to move neck forward/back & turn right/left, kneel, squat, & climb using arms and legs.
Repetitive use of both hands & fingers to grasp, flex, extend, exert force, wear gloves, & utilize tools.
Frequent work in extreme temperature conditions inside & outside including but not limited to working on slippery, uneven, unstable surfaces.
Ability to work around machinery
Applicant must have 2-4 years verifiable maintenance mechanic experience, preferably in an industrial/ manufacturing setting.
Ability to wear applicable PPE including: safety glasses, metatarsal guarded boots, hearing protection, respirators, welding mask, etc.
Ability to recognize and utilize all basic and portable power tools and hand tools safely and effectively

Nice To Haves

CNC experience preferred
Tech degree is a strong plus.

Responsibilities
