The Maintenance Manufacturing Rep will maintain operational status of Robotic Production Assets onsite by: creating and executing preventative maintenance practices, becoming an SME for robotic troubleshooting and repairs, sourcing spare and repair parts through vendor interactions, utilizing CMMS tools to maintain records of repair and service. The Maintenance Manufacturing Rep is responsible for troubleshooting, diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining robotic welding and cutting systems. This Rep will primarily be working on Government Owned (SPR) Robotics equipment. This Rep reports directly to the Maintenance Team and must possess the ability to maintain relationships with Production, Robotics Engineering and vendors. Looking for well-trained technicians experienced with PLC and electrical troubleshooting and the capability to address day-to-day issues. Diagnose issues across mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems. Maintain and troubleshoot PLCs, HMIs, and industrial control systems. Assist in developing and evaluating new technologies or methods (mechanics, hydraulics, algorithms, software, etc.). The ability to work with others and independently in a fast paced environment is crucial. Willingness to further one’s knowledge base and skill-set in a growing company with specialized equipment is necessary. Having the ability to follow procedural compliance and engineered procedures is a must. This position is located at the Quonset Point facility in North Kingstown, RI.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum of 1 year robotics machine maintenance experience
  • Experience with 6 axis industrial and collaborative robots
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and schematics
  • Experience with PLC's to include effectively diagnosing analog and digital field components, along with input/output devices as well as PLC programming
  • Experience troubleshooting / diagnosing HMI systems
  • Working from ladders and lifts while wearing fall protection
  • Experience using various types of diagnostic tools and meters to include volt meters, resistive measuring devices, meggers, data loggers, micrometers, calipers, test gauges, and temperature measuring devices
  • Must be available to work all shifts
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a security clearance through the department of defense
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proficient computer skills

Nice To Haves

  • Associates degree or higher in Mechatronics or similar
  • Experience with reliability, preventative and predictive Maintenance practices
  • CMMS experience
  • Specific trade licensing e.g. (Electrical)
  • ABB robotics and Fanuc Controls
  • Welding equipment experience
  • PLC and ABB programming experience
  • Familiarity with industrial networks (EtherNet/IP, PROFINET, DeviceNET)
  • Mechanical/electrical or hydraulic trade school or apprenticeship
  • Experience in coordinating efforts with multiple teams at once
