About The Position

At Mercy Housing, we are redefining affordable, low-income housing. As the largest nonprofit affordable housing provider in the nation, we build, preserve, and manage program-enriched housing across the country. The Maintenance Manager will provide hands-on maintenance and oversee vendor contracts for Clare Gardens, a 128-unit affordable property for area families in Denver, CO. This is an on-site position. The idea candidate will have experience with NSPIRE inspections.

Requirements

High School Diploma or equivalent.
Three (3) years of experience in skilled maintenance work.
Technical expertise in one or more building trade.
Work in a collaborative manner and in a team environment.
Define and solve problems.
Comprehend and communicate in the English language, both orally and in writing.
Present information to groups of people.
Perform basic math and understand measurement systems used in the trade.
Read and interpret electrical, plumbing, and mechanical diagrams and blueprints.
Draft make working sketches.
Use maintenance, trade, and testing equipment and tools.
Effectively oversee work progress of vendors or outside contractors.

Nice To Haves

Technical certifications.
Experience with NSPIRE inspections.

Responsibilities

Patch and paint walls, trim, and ceilings.
Clean, repair, and maintain appliances.
Prepare units for new residents, including completing necessary turnover work.
Perform routine plumbing and electrical repairs.
Manage day-to-day maintenance functions.
Assist with maintenance budget oversight.
Coordinate and manage vendor contracts in collaboration with the property management team.
