About The Position
IPEX is one of North America's leading providers of advanced plastic piping systems. The Maintenance Manager will support the daily functions of the Maintenance department. This role will also provide technical support and expertise on equipment and building maintenance projects, including installation, design, and costing. The position is based at the Langley, BC facility and reports to the Plant Manager.
Requirements
- Degree/Diploma in a technical field, or equivalent hands-on technical experience within a maintenance department
- 5 or more years’ progressive leadership experience in a Manufacturing Maintenance department
- Strong knowledge of mechanical concepts and extensive experience with electrical, hydraulics, and mechanical work
- Excellent communication, interpersonal and project management skills
- Ability to lead and motivate others
Nice To Haves
- Prior Maintenance experience in Plastics industry, focus on Injection Molding highly preferred
Responsibilities
- Oversee the functions related to maintenance, engineering, and plant projects
- Monitor & schedule maintenance activities for plant equipment & the building
- Develop, implement & maintain a preventative maintenance program that will maximize the productivity of the equipment/tooling
- Manage the capital budget expenditures for the facility as they relate to the maintenance department
- Analyze job costing and material reports and review financial records to ensure projects are in line with the budget
- Source new process equipment and materials, research benchmarking of new processes for continuous improvement to meet changing needs
- Monitor and manage the energy control, live work and working at heights programs including developing & reviewing work instructions
- Maintain contractor management program and act as an onsite project supervisor to contractors, third parties or employees for projects to run according to schedule and prepare progress reports
- Maintain accurate and up to date reference manuals and materials for all equipment & machinery
