About The Position

Reporting to the Plant Manager at our Menomonie, Wisconsin plant, you will lead the maintenance function to ensure reliable, efficient manufacturing operations while minimizing downtime and sustaining peak plant performance.

Requirements

  • Experience leading teams
  • Bachelor’s degree in a technical or engineering field
  • 5 or more years of experience in manufacturing maintenance
  • Experience with SAP Plant Maintenance systems
  • Knowledge of predictive maintenance technologies including vibration analysis, infrared, and ultrasound
  • Understanding of programmable logic controllers and control systems

Responsibilities

  • Lead plant maintenance and operations to reduce downtime and achieve optimal equipment performance
  • Direct the maintenance team, setting expectations and driving performance and accountability
  • Promote and manage safety across the Maintenance technicians
  • Promote and manage Food Safety Quality and Regulatory Affairs and Good Manufacturing Practices requirements
  • Develop and manage the maintenance operating budget while monitoring departmental expenditures
  • Support planning and cost estimation for annual and long-term capital budgets
  • Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal environmental regulations and operational permits
  • Manage and track Maintenance Department metrics to drive performance improvements
  • Establish standards and systems for evaluating maintenance work, including contractor services
  • Review work completion through reports, inspections, and collaboration with plant teams, contractors, and suppliers
  • Partner with Operations, Engineering, and Reliability Center of Excellence to eliminate equipment failures and sustain base conditions
  • Participate in Reliability Center of Excellence initiatives and implement standardized systems and processes
  • Ensure priority maintenance losses are identified, understood, and addressed through action plans
  • Drive SAP usage, compliance, and skill development across the maintenance team
  • Assess technician capabilities, identify skill gaps, and implement development plans
