About The Position

Heidelberg Materials is one of the world's largest suppliers of building materials. Heidelberg Materials North America operates over 450 locations across the U.S. and Canada with approximately 9,000 employees. This role will lead and oversee maintenance operations for a fleet of ready mix vehicles and production equipment to maximize reliability, safety, and performance. The position drives preventive and predictive maintenance programs that minimize downtime and optimize operational efficiency. The manager will manage maintenance budgets, inventory, vendor relationships, and resource planning to support business objectives. Additionally, they will coach, develop, and support maintenance team members while fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement. Ensuring compliance with all safety, environmental, regulatory, and company standards across maintenance activities is also a key responsibility.

Requirements

  • Demonstrated ability to lead maintenance operations in a heavy industrial, transportation, manufacturing, or construction materials environment.
  • Strong knowledge of fleet, mobile equipment, diesel systems, plant equipment, and maintenance best practices.
  • Proven capability to analyze operational challenges, prioritize resources, and implement effective solutions.
  • Commitment to building a safe, inclusive, and high-performing team culture.
  • Effective communication, organizational, and stakeholder management skills with a focus on operational excellence.

Responsibilities
