About The Position

The Maintenance Manager in the Accommodation and Food Services industry is responsible for overseeing all maintenance operations to ensure the facility operates efficiently, safely, and in compliance with regulatory standards. This role involves developing and implementing maintenance strategies, including predictive and preventive maintenance programs, to minimize downtime and extend the lifespan of equipment and infrastructure. The Maintenance Manager leads a team of technicians and coordinates with other departments to support seamless facility operations that enhance guest experience and operational productivity. They are also tasked with managing budgets, scheduling maintenance activities, and ensuring that all electrical and mechanical systems are functioning optimally. Ultimately, this position plays a critical role in maintaining a safe, clean, and well-functioning environment that supports the overall business objectives of the organization.

Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in hotel maintenance management.
• Proven knowledge and experience with predictive and preventive maintenance techniques.
• Strong understanding of electrical systems and plant maintenance operations.
• Demonstrated ability to lead and manage a maintenance team effectively.
• The Maintenance Manager applies their expertise in maintenance management daily by designing and executing maintenance schedules that prevent equipment failure and optimize operational uptime.
• Their knowledge of predictive and preventive maintenance allows them to anticipate issues before they arise, reducing costly downtime and repairs.
• Proficiency in electrical systems and plant maintenance ensures that all facility infrastructure is maintained to the highest standards of safety and efficiency.
• Lean Manufacturing skills are utilized to continuously improve maintenance workflows, reduce waste, and enhance team productivity.
• Strong leadership and communication skills enable the manager to effectively coordinate with cross-functional teams and lead their maintenance staff to achieve organizational goals.

Nice To Haves

• Certification in Maintenance Management or Facility Management (e.g., CMRP, CFMT).

Responsibilities

• Respond promptly to emergency maintenance issues to minimize impact on operations and guest satisfaction.
