The Maintenance Manager will direct team members in electrical, electronic, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic maintenance and repair of machinery and equipment. This role oversees the parts inventory system and MP2 computerized maintenance management program for the assigned location. The manager will prepare requisitions and maintain a supply of spare parts to ensure preventive and corrective maintenance is performed in a timely manner. Responsibilities also include modifying programming of robots and related equipment, studying production schedules to estimate labor hour requirements, and establishing and adjusting work procedures to meet production schedules. The manager will assist in diagnosing malfunctions, recommend measures to improve production methods, equipment performance, and product quality, and suggest changes in working conditions and equipment use to increase efficiency. This role requires independent judgment to assign team member work duties, ensure team members have necessary information, and supervise team members to enable growth and success through feedback, training, and encouragement. Establishing performance expectations, providing regular feedback and performance reviews, investigating complaints, and implementing disciplinary action are key aspects of the role. The manager will also work with human resources to manage the hiring process for direct reports. Continuous evaluation of processes, recommendations, and implementation of improvements to optimize efficiency, establishing and documenting standard operating procedures, and driving continuous improvement efforts using lean manufacturing tools and methodology are expected. Adherence to company values, policies, and procedures, and compliance with safety rules, laws, regulations, and standards are mandatory. Demonstrating regular and punctual attendance is also required.
