Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university; or four to ten years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Expertise in hydraulics, electronics, tooling, automotive repair; building management system knowledge; familiar with standard maintenance metrics such as MTBF and OEE; Mold Flow SPC Data.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite; Ability to learn new software as needed; Work Order software.

Responsibilities

  • Must maintain a positive work atmosphere by behaving and communicating in a professional manner by getting along with customers, clients, coworkers, supervisors, managers, and all other employees.
  • Responsible for adhering to and maintaining all quality system procedures and requirements related to the position.
  • Must adhere to all safety rules and company policies, as well as enforce the compliance and implementation of each through subordinates.
  • Attendance/punctuality: is consistently at work and on time; ensures that the Attendance Policy is enforced consistently through subordinates.
  • Develops and maintains work orders to determine work priorities.
  • Schedules repair, maintenance, and installation of machines and equipment to ensure continuous production operations.
  • Coordinates activities of workers fabricating or modifying machines or equipment to manufacture new products or improve existing ones.
  • Directs maintenance activities on utility systems to provide continuous supply of heat, steam, electric power, gas, or air required for operations.
  • Develops and maintains preventive maintenance program for all machines and equipment, along with buildings and grounds.
  • Reviews production, quality control, and maintenance reports and statistics to plan and modify maintenance activities.
  • Inspects operating machines and equipment for conformance with operational standards.
  • Plans, develops, and implements new methods and procedures designed to improve operations, minimize operating costs, and affect greater utilization of labor and materials.
  • Reviews new product plans and discusses equipment needs and modifications with engineering.
  • Requisitions tools, equipment, and supplies required for operations.
  • Directs training and indoctrination of workers to improve work performance and acquaint workers with company policies and procedures.
  • Confers with management, engineering and quality control personnel to resolve maintenance problems and recommend measures to improve operations and conditions of machines and equipment.
